From the first call to the return to the wild.
Behind every rescue is an animal, a story, and people working to give it the best possible chance. Our work includes assessment, nursing care, rehabilitation and, where possible, release.
These are photographs from SWR's own wildlife patients — the real heart of the charity.
Meet our patients
More than a rescue.
Rescue is only the beginning. Our hospital provides dedicated space and equipment for assessment, nursing care and rehabilitation.

Inside the hospital
From temperature-controlled incubators to specialist rehabilitation facilities, much of our work happens quietly behind the scenes.

Illustrative locations only — not live rescue data
Real figures will appear once approved records are connected. Exact rescue addresses will not be published.
